J. John Vettese

J. John Vettese* received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in Economics and Political Science in 1995. He obtained his law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1998 and was called to the Ontario bar in February 2000. He has practised commercial and tax litigation during his career and has had an active practice in plaintiff personal injury and insurance litigation since his call to the bar. He is conversant in Italian.

John has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Tax Court of Canada. He has also appeared at various government tribunals such as the Landlord Tenant Board, the Canada Pension Plan Disability Review Tribunal, the Employment Insurance Commission, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. John believes in approaching insurance and injury disputes with confidence and tenacity while maintaining respect and professional integrity.

John is a member of the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association. He was actively involved for many years in the Strides for Stroke 5k Run/Walk in support of Mackenzie Health Foundation as a Committee Co-Chair. In 2021 John embarked on a new fundraising initiative as a co-founder of Strides for Seniors, partnering with several of the local GTA hospital/charity foundations to promote independence and accessibility for our seniors.
